Sherman

The region has a detailed military history. Present-day North Idaho College sits on the site of the old Fort Sherman. Fort Sherman Grounds are adjacent to and within walking distance of City Park. A small museum in the Powder House displays artifacts and information on the fort. The old Officer's Quarters are under renovation and the Fort Chapel is still used to this day for many weddings and special occasions. Located at 1000 W. Garden Avenue in Coeur d'Alene. |
